Dodgers: Taylor, Muncy, and More, LA bats running out of time to put it all together

The Dodgers lost another frustrating, low scoring game on Thursday to the middling St. Louis Cardinals and enter Friday 2.5 games back of the San Francisco Giants. LA’s pitching has been best in class in the last few weeks, but the star-studded offense continues to disappoint. Why? Four of the everyday players have been in a slump.

Chris Taylor owns the 5th highest K% in baseball since August 1st (35.3%). Max Muncy isn’t taking his walks like he used to. Justin Turner had a two home run game in St. Louis, but has also not hit the ball well down the stretch.

Bullpen games, Dave Roberts, and Cody Bellinger get a lot of headlines, but it’s the offense that needs to step up if the Dodgers are going to win their ninth division title.
