Montreal Canadiens face backlash from fans, sponsors over sex offender draft pick

The Montreal Canadiens are facing blowback and losing goodwill from fans after they drafted a hockey player who also is an admitted sex offender.

Logan Mailloux, a defenceman from Ontario, pleaded guilty last year to sharing sexually explicit images of a woman without her consent. The 18-year-old has already spoken out, expressing his regret, while Canadiens manager Marc Bergevin has promised to help Mailloux with counselling.

But as Mike Armstrong reports, the Habs' decision is not sitting well for the team's sponsors and even Canada's prime minister.
