Istanbul Basaksehir vs. Paris Saint-Germain: Extended Highlights | UCL on CBS Sports

Paris Saint-Germain had the injury bug hit them yet again, this time early on against İstanbul Başakşehir. Neymar called to be subbed off just after the 20’ mark and was eventually subbed off in the 26’ for Pablo Sarabia and Neymar was taken directly to the tunnel. Both teams would create chances on the attack however neither team could translate the opportunities into goals. They split the first half possession 54% for Paris Saint-Germain and 46% for İstanbul Başakşehir.
Just 30 seconds into the second Mbappe made the perfect pass right in front of the keeper to Sarabia who had it all lined up for the easy goal, but he powered it right over the top of the net. The PSG offense though would continue to create opportunities and came out with life in the second half. Then finally, in the 64’ the PSG side was able to out the ball into the back of the net. After a fantastic defensive showing all game Istanbul Basaksehir made a costly mistake on a corner, failing to mark Moise Kean who played the header into the net with ease to push the French side to the 1-0 lead.
PSG would keep their rhythm going in the second half and so would Kean. He scored off of an awkward ball into the box that played off Mbappe and came to Kean who powered it home with his left foot to give PSG the 2-0 lead. That would end up being the icing on the cake and PSG would go on to pick up a needed Matchday 2 win thanks to Kean’s brace.
