  1. It's clear that most any footballer who has played at the very highest level, no matter their age, is going to help the MLS. It's just a matter of the right player in the right team. And Rooney fits DCU like a glove. Just hope he doesn't get a fluke injury. His RPE and mileage counter is very high for just a few games.

  2. Tactically and defensively the league still has ways to go. Defenses are usually very poorly positioned and flat footed and allow offensive players enormous space which you would never see in a professional league in Europe or South America. It's fun to see Rooney play fast once again, but the quality of defensive players is sub-par at best.
