  1. Atlanta is no doubt a good team…but I think teams go into matches afraid of them and are defeated before the first whistle. I watch teams play so defensive against them and not play the style that they are a custom to. Philly went for it. Yes, they might have come out and lost in a high scoring game, but they would have went out swinging. And maybe if Martinez converts those chances we would have lost, but I'm proud of Jim Curtin for not parking the bus and trying to absorb pressure and occasionally counter attack. Philly and Atlanta could not be more opposite in the way they build their clubs. And I'm sure Atlanta will sustain success year in and year out with the South Americans they buy, and we will be mediocre with occasional success with our low budget and home grown players. But on this night, we were the better side.
