Are the Carolina Panthers Trading For WR Laquon Treadwell?

Ian Rapoport says the Carolina Panthers are a prime landing spot for Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell. Is this just idle reporting or is there any possible truth behind it?

  1. I could see the panthers taking a look at him, and perhaps stashing a couple younger guys. If Norv feels like he can come in and help Cam improve his passing numbers we will take a look at him. I mean Smith may not stay healthy, and besides our projected top 5 i dont think there's any other wr better than he is.

  2. I’d give Butler for him in a straight up trade. Both 2016 first round bust. Then when he gets here tell him there’s zero chance he makes the roster and put him on the practice squad. Put him on the jug machine and running laps for a solid year. While everyone is practicing and playing Treadwell is only doing those two things. This time next year if he’s still in playing shape then give him the nod. This guy is a complete boom or bust with zero middle.

  3. Don't see much upside to having this guy, and if it's height we're looking for we've already have LeVrone at 6'2 and dude is catching great so on the premise we may cut him just because it's an overcrowded room, they definitely won't get this guy. No thanks we'll pass.

  4. We don't need receivers. We have our starters already and our backups. Chris Hogan should be an addition if Cam can get the ball to him. There is noone to trade for him. Carolina would be stupid to go after this guy. Use who we got and get the line to hold. Make Cam throw the ball sooner and stop trying to be Houdini.

  5. Rumors get started for a reason, and film shows during the Pre-season the WR's were not getting open. Carolina needs to get the run game going to set up play action, or it's going to be a big day for the Rams DL.
